Augmented and Virtual Reality for Design Engineers

March 24, 2023
A software update for Holo-Light's AR 3S will be on display at Hannover Messe.

Machine Design has long covered augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications for design engineering. While at the Hannover Messe press preview, Holo-Light was showing off its newest update for its AR 3S platform for ergonomics and prototyping for design engineers.

Using the same application, users can collaborate across different devices and work with the original CAD data for design review or digital prototyping. In the AR 3S platform, engineers can also work with tools to simulate an ergonomic study to see if they can assemble or disassemble part.
