Low-voltage power supplies

Sept. 12, 2013
The GWS500 Series of power supplies now includes two low-output-voltage models. The 5‑V, 80‑A and 7.5‑V, 67‑A models fit into 1U enclosures. The GWS Series are 400 to 500‑W ac-dc, forced-air-cooled power supplies that are 90% efficient.

The GWS Series are 400 to 500‑W ac-dc, forced-air-cooled power supplies that are 90% efficient. The Series includes six models with nominal outputs of 5, 7.5, 12, 24, 36, and 48 V. To accommodate nonstandard voltages, the GWS500’s output is adjustable via a built-in potentiometer or by injecting an external programming voltage. The supply operates at full load from –25 to 50°C and up to 70°C with suitable derating. The supplies include overvoltage, overtemperature, and overcurrent protections, as well as 5-V/0.3-A standby output, remote on/off, dc good signal, and operate from 85 to 264 Vac.TDK-Lambda Americas Inc., 3055 Del Sol Blvd., San Diego, CA 92154, (619) 628-2885, www.us.tdk-lambda.com
