You now have a chance to prove it. Pilgrim Studios, the company responsible for a number of reality TV shows such as Dirty Jobs, American Chopper, and Top Shot, are casting a new reality series with the working title of Top Engineer for the Discovery Channel. They're looking for America's most creative and daring techies, machinists, inventors, and engineers to design, build, and BLAST their way to a grand prize on their new competition TV show.

You don't have to be an engineer, but you do have to have hands-on. You must be able to design, build, test, and integrate an idea into a final product that works. Desk jockeys need not apply. Taping of the new show will happen during the month of May at WET Design, an engineering and manufacturing facility in Los Angeles. So you need to get your application in now, before March 7, to be in consideration.

You can email [email protected] with your name, age, location, phone number, a recent photo, and a brief explanation of why you are perfect for this competition. You can find additional information and eligibility requirements on the Pilgrim Studios Web site.
