Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager works inside of Creo Elements/Direct Drafting to provide an iterative, “work-in-progress” design environment. By organizing 2D CAD data and associated files in a central database, the software automates the management of product data in the design process from sandbox concept to released products. Users can leverage existing part and assembly designs with Search and Where Used functions, as well as reuse product designs effectively. For example, users can create multiple variations of a drawing by adding material properties and other attributes. According to the company, the software installs in 15 minutes and is preconfigured with industry best practices.
