Machine Design Selects McBurnett as Senior Editor

The newest addition to our editorial staff will report on robotics, 3D printing and design software.

Marie McBurnett has been hired as a senior editor for Machine Design. She will provide coverage in robotics, 3D printing and design software while working to improve the magazine’s social media presence.

“Marie provides us with an experienced B2B background combined with modern experience in social media and web-based content,” said Bob Vavra, senior content director. “She is an outstanding addition to our team and will help continue the growth the magazine has experienced over the last year.”

Based in Alabama, McBurnett began her B2B career at Endeavor Business Media in 2018 as group assistant editor for the company’s process industries titles. She became editor of Water Technology in 2019, where she committed to researching new, innovative technologies to present to her readers.

McBurnett has a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. She has more than six years of experience in writing, editing and developing content for print and online media outlets.
