Mike McLeod Named Senior Editor at Machine Design

Machine Design welcomes accomplished journalist Mike McLeod as its new senior editor, underscoring the publication’s commitment to authoritative, high‑impact engineering coverage.

Machine Design is pleased to announce that Mike McLeod, a veteran journalist known for his technical knowledge and focus on the design and engineering sector, will step into the role of senior editor.

“Mike brings to Machine Design both a depth of technical knowledge and a journalist’s ability to translate complex design concepts into compelling narratives,” says Keith Larson, group content director for Processing, Engineering Design & Automation at Machine Design’s parent company EndeavorB2B. “His 20 years of experience leading Canada’s Design Engineering brand ensure that he’ll hit the ground running.”

In this role, McLeod will focus on producing and editing high-impact editorial content forMachine Design’s multi-disciplinary design and engineering audiences.

During his tenure at Design Engineering magazine, McLeod covered the full spectrum of mechanical engineering, from industrial automation, aerospace and automotive, to CAD/CAE, additive manufacturing, linear motion and fluid power.

His work has earned him two national journalism awards for excellence in engineering and manufacturing reporting. McLeod holds a master’s degree in English. He grew up in Phoenix, Ariz.
