Industrial processes harbor a large number of manual tasks. The potential to reduce time-consuming activities can bring relief and time-savings in such tasks as conductor preparation. Phoenix Contact, based in Germany, has addressed this need with the design of a software-enabled workbench for managing and automating wiring tasks. The company characterizes theclipx WIRE assist as a software-aided “tool” for efficient wire preparation and wiring that promises to increase productivity and increase reliability.
Emerson Branson GMX-HP Ultrasonic Metal Welder
The Branson GMX-HP ultrasonic metal welder is suitable for electric vehicles (EVs), batteries and energy storage systems, where higher power with greater downforce is needed for larger welds. The GMX-HP’s increased weld power is transmitted through a direct-press actuator, equipped with dual linear bearing guides, precision distance sensors and a dynamic pressure trigger that delivers greater part-holding downforce with the high stability needed for repeatable weld quality.
Ingersoll Rand QX Series 40V Torque Multiplier
The Ingersoll Rand QX Series 40V Cordless Torque Multiplier, an addition to the QX Series, can run up to 83 rpm, which is twice as fast as its 20V multiplier. The 40V battery means fast high-gang-count fastening, and its INSIGHT Connect app offers process control and real-time monitoring.
