Creaform’s success in business is attributed to innovation, passion, and determination, says its founding President and CTO Charles Mony. These values are the reason for the company’s association with the 8th edition of the Transat Québec-Saint-Malo as the official partner of the Défi Saint- Malo Agglo trimaran. Mony will be racing the transat for the second time, along with Gilles Lamiré, a professional skipper with maritime experience.
Creaform, Lévis, Québec, Canada, joined the international adventure to make its presence known in markets worldwide, but also to show its humanitarian side as well. A commitment has been made with Canada’s One Drop to raise funds to support the organization’s numerous initiatives to fight poverty by ensuring water access to the most disadvantaged populations around the world.
An international nongovernmental organization, One Drop is an initiative of Guy Laberte, founder of Cirque d Soleil, that undertakes water projects, as well as educational, artistic, and engaging mobilization and awareness activities, in which water plays a central role generating positive, sustainable change worldwide.
The 60-ft trimaran sailboat is crafted for offshore racing and classified under the Formula 1 category. The crew should cover 5,287-km (2,950 nautical miles) in just over a week.
