2019 Bracket Challenge

Bracket Challenge: Round Three is Over, We’re Down to Just Four

March 27, 2019
It’ll be tech vs. tech and university vs. university.

The third round of voting was close, and some major players were eliminated. Let’s take a look at the scores.

Engineering icon MIT was put away by the University of Wisconsin, one of the winners in the last two Bracket Challenges (53% to 47%). Another one of those winners, Purdue University, knocked out the University of Michigan (55% to 45%).

Yet another engineering icon—and one of the few with a semi-well-known fight song (listen to it here)—Georgia Tech, won in a squeaker over Stanford University (52% to 48%). And Virginia Tech got to the quarter finals by overcoming the University of Illinois (53% to 47%).

Courtney W. had the good luck to win an Apple iPad Pro just for voting.

So the quarterfinals will feature Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech, a battle of the Techs, and Purdue versus the University of Wisconsin, a University showdown between the two schools that won the last two bracket challenges.

Time to vote and select the top two schools for a one-on-one showdown. Click here for voting details.
