    Network upgrade

      Upgrades to the CC-Link IE Field network include remote I/O blocks for digital input and output, analog input and output, high-speed input, a CC-Link gateway for simple access to existing CC-Link equipment, and a number of new CC-Link IE Field cables and accessories. The CC-Link IE Field and CC-Link gateway provide access to CC-Link equipment without a PLC.

    The network upgrades are beneficial for packaging machines with modular components, automotive assembly lines, large material-handling systems, and products with CC-Link IE Field compatibility from automation-equipment manufacturers.

    Features of the network include 1 Gbit/sec transmission speed; inherent determinism without Ethernet switches; flexible topology; seamless data communication; and integration with TCP/IP field devices.
