Two new articulated robots from Bosch Rexroth Corp., Buchanan. Mich. — the AR6 and AR8— can move 10.1-lb payloads with 0.02-mm repeatability. The relatively slim robots can be table or ceiling mounted. They both include absolute encoders and are controlled by IQ200 control systems, the common control platform for all Bosch Rexroth robots. This lets users choose the right robotic technology without training operators on several control platforms. The AR6 has a 650-mm working radius, while the AR8's radius is 850 mm.
