July 24, 2019
Here are this year’s Grand Prize winners and Awards of Distinction Winners given out by the Metal Powder Industries Federation.

The winners of the 2019 Powder Metallurgy (PM) Design Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), once again demonstrate outstanding examples of powdered metal’s flexibility and adaptability. Component fabricators use powder metal to push forward new concepts and process controls and demonstrate the inexhaustible well of capabilities they can put in the service of component design. Designers continue to choose PM for critical applications such as auto engines and transmissions, medical devices, consumer products, hardware, and more.

The awards were presented during the 2019 International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials, which was held at the same time and place as the conference on Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy.

Metal Powder Industries Federation is the North American trade association formed by the powder metallurgy industry to advance the interests of the metal powder producing and consuming industries and provides a single point of reference for all MPIF member companies.

Nine Grand Prizes and seven Awards of Distinction have been given in this year’s competition.
