Epson America (booth E-7557) will be showcasing its full line of ColorWorks on-demand full-color label printers at PACK EXPO International 2016 in Chicago. Among the printers is the ColorWorks C831, an industrial-strength inkjet label printer ideal for GHS large format drum and chemical labels. It combines the benefits of a rugged color inkjet printer with the accuracy of an 8-pin tractor feeder and has been BS5609 certified.
The printheads utilize MicroPiezo technology to control over the ink, helping the printer to achieve droplets as small as 1.5 picoliters—much finer than a human hair. Other ColorWorks label printers utilizing MicroPiezo technology include the C3500 (a fast first label out, full-color production label printing for on-demand, medium volume for Just In Time Color applications) and the C7500/G is a fast, full-color heavy production label printing for Just In Time Color high-volume labeling applications).
