Edited by Stephen J. Mraz

The DT 170-TLM rotary positioning stage from Steinmeyer Inc., Burlington, Mass. (www.steinmeyer.com), uses a direct-drive motor for positioning accuracies of 0.0005°, repeatability of ±0.001°, and speeds to 10 rev/sec. The device is made from high-strength anodized aluminum and can handle loads up to 15 kg. The unit measures 200 × 170 × 115 mm with a 170-mm diameter. A built-in temperature controller ensures the device will not overheat.
