Compact Modular Switches Target High/Low-Pressure Hydraulics

Feb. 9, 2015
Omega released PSW8, a new series of compact modular pressure switches for stationary and mobile hydraulic applications. Switches for low-pressure applications feature diaphragm pressure switches, while high-pressure switches have a compact piston design. An increase in pressure above the set-point activates the single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) micro switch and resets as the pressure returns below the set-point. The set-point can be adjusted with a screw on the switch. Switch contacts are gold or silver for different currents and voltage.  Gold-plated contacts are rated for 0.1 A at 125 V ac and 0.01 A at 30 V dc, and silver contacts are rated for 3 A at 250 V ac, 5 V at 120 V ac, or 0.4 A at 120 V dc.

For more information about the new range and combinations of features, see the specification sheet.
