The circuit and chips designs usually receive the lion’s share of attention in prototypes of electronics products. Fastening and connecting hardware is often selected more because it’s handy than because it’s the best choice. As a result, many prototypes and even final products suffer failures due to poor selection of such common items as screws, standoffs, bushings, and nuts.
