Vacuum motor

Feb. 11, 2014
A new 5.4-in.-diameter vacuum motor operates at 7 dB and 10 Sones quieter than a comparable 5.1-in.-diameter motor. The motor features an innovative fan-diffuser system, improved motor lamination that increases efficiency by between 30 and 40%, and a novel commutator design that allows it to run cooler and reduces vibration. The vacuum motor over a pound lighter than a comparable 5.7-in. version and half a pound lighter than even a 5.1-in.-diameter model.
