The 14th annual event is again hosted by Rockwell Automation Inc., Milwaukee, a leading manufacturer of industrial automation equipment. Each year, fair attendees explore the latest technology and service offerings from Rockwell and over 100 partner companies, publishers, and universities.
Automation Fair 2005 features over 150 exhibits, tutorial and technical sessions, and demonstrations. This year's mix of speakers includes John Engler, president of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and Bill Taylor, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz US International. They will oversee a diverse panel of industry leaders and experts examining industry trends and issues.
Vertical industry forums will cover topics related to automation in automotive, food and beverage, life sciences, OEM, and water and wastewater treatment. Hands-on labs let fair goers work directly with Rockwell Automation products under the tutelage of the company's engineers.
Workshops at the fair are special 2-hr in-depth presentations and hands-on demos on a variety of topics, including optimizing network performance, practical process control with PLCs, control panel simplification, and the benefits of integrating RFID technology, among many others.
