The popular cartoon appears in 2,000 newspapers in 65 countries. Assembly Technology Expo takes place Sept. 26 to 28 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago), Ill.
Technologies at the show include advanced robotic systems, assembly automation systems and components, hand tools, fasteners, and adhesives. Over 600 leading suppliers will showcase products for reducing costs, assembling new products, reducing cycle time, and increasing capacity. Industry experts from the Automated Imaging Association, the Robotics Industry Association, the Edison Welding Institute, the Association for Operations Management, the Adhesive and Sealant Council, the Wire Harness Manufacturers Association, and the Surface Mount Technology Association, among others, will present at the comprehensive four-day conference.
The Wire Harness Pavilion is the place to find wire-processing equipment. Endorsed by WHMA (the Wire Harness Manufacturers Association), the pavilion features products and services for electronic cable assemblies, cord sets, wiring harnesses, and other applications. For electronics assembly, the Electronics Assembly Pavilion is the place. The Midwest's largest electronics manufacturing showcase features state-of-the-art equipment for every phase of the manufacturing process, from design, packaging, and fabrication, to assembly and test. A sampling of exhibitors in the EAP includes 3M Electronics, Markets Materials Div., Aqueous Technologies, Assembleon, Asymtek, and Autosplice Inc.
Explore a fully functional, doublesided surface-mount-technology manufacturing line, and take home the end product as a souvenir of the show. This year's product is a scrolling message board.
