This year's event hosts 10 specialized trade fairs at one venue.
The Factory Automation show explores all aspects of automated production and highlights the fact that IT — information technology — plays an increasingly important role in manufacturing. Among the many components and systems on display will be advanced controls, networks for remote diagnostics and maintenance, and comprehensive datamanagement systems.
Recognizing that robots are essential to many modern production lines, a special segment of the factory-automation show will be "Robotics World." This presentation will include leading OEMs showcasing the latest machines, courses, and seminars on the theoretical and practical side of robots, and numerous live demonstrations of robots for automotive, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, electronics, and other industrial sectors. A consulting center for visitors will analyze specific automation needs and arrange meetings with potential partners.
Complementing the factory-automation and robotic themes will be Digital Factory, an exhibition devoted to integrated processes and IT solutions for industrial manufacturers.
Interkama, a leading trade show for process industries, is also slated for Hannover. Exhibits will cover all aspects of process automation, from intelligent sensors to control systems and easy-to-manage diagnostics, plus all the services needed to operate industrial plants.
Other shows will be devoted to subcontracting, microtechnology, R&D, industrial piping systems, building automation, and energy generation and transmission, including renewable sources.
The Fair will also include a range of exhibitors from partner country India, one of the world's fastest-growing markets. Key Indian participants are expected to focus on energy, industrial, subcontracting, and automotive technologies.
