For three days, leading medical-device manufacturers will be showing off their wares at the Medical Design & Manufacturing West show at the Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. The show runs Jan. 10 through 12, and will include exhibitors specializing in contract manufacturing and outsourcing; assembly, precision manufacturing, and CNC equipment; raw materials; plastics and disposables; packaging, sterilization and clean-room equipment; electronics; IVD supplies; and motion control. There will also be a host of educational sessions, including an international regulatory update, tips for marketing medical devices in the U.S., and new ways to meet lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma goals. Also on the agenda are medicalpackaging seminars, riskmanagement advice for medicaldevice workshop, and talks on adhesives, ISO standards for quality, and medical resins.
Five specialfeature pavilions will house CNC and EDM equipment makers and suppliers, medicalpackaging companies, providers of automation and assembly equipment, information technology for supply-chain management, and the latest in CAD/CAM. As an added bonus, attendees will also be given free expo-hall admission to Electronics West, a show for West Coast electronics OEMs; Pacific Design & Manufacturing, a trade show for design and manufacturing companies; Plastec, a plastic industry show; and West Pack, a show for those involved in packaging supplies and machinery.
