Described as the design engineer's "candy store," a new catalog from Misumi of the Americas, Schaumburg, Ill., features more than 500,000 mechanical components.

The new inch-dimension version of Mechanical Components For Assembly Automation is based on the company's original metric catalog that's used worldwide.

Content covers a wide range of precision linear shafts, bearings with housings, linear guides, locating and pivot pins, manifolds, timing pulleys, and other parts. Detailed pricing data, photos, drawings, specification tables, and delivery information aid in selection and production scheduling.

The 466-page catalog lets design engineers customize precision parts using a step-by-step coding system. The method is said to eliminate drawings, costly set-up charges, and minimum order sizes. Even small quantities are available quickly, with most items delivered in one to six days. Combined with Misumi's downloadable 2D and 3D-CAD files, the catalog can reduce design time and offer significant cost savings.

The free catalog is available at 800-681-7475 or www.misumiamerica.com
