A souped-up Cayenne

The Chopster, a customized Porsche Cayenne Turbo, debuts at this year' Geneva Auto Show Produced by Rinspeed AG, a Swiss automotive company

, the stylized SUV carries a 4.5-liter V8 that uses water-cooled intercoolers to lower the temperature of intake air and reengineered turbochargers for a higher boost in intake air pressure. A redesigned exhaust system minimizes back pressure while a beefed-up transmission handles the higher horsepower and torque. The hopped up engine generates 610 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Rinspeed designers also took a whack at customizing the SUV body. They chopped 70 mm from the roof, giving it a much lower roofline (hence the name), and added fender flares. The front bumper was also enlarged to make room for air inlets to the turbochargers. Brakes were upgraded to include two-piece floating discs on all four wheels, with the discs cross drilled for better heat dissipation. Floating discs guarantee alignment of the discs and the eightpiston calipers. A fully customized Chopster will cost about $390,000.
