MD&M Minneapolis to feature Six Sigma prep

Medical Design & Manufacturing Minneapolis will take place at the Minneapolis Convention Center on October 25 and 26, 2006. The show includes the PrecisionTec pavilion and MidPak Expo. The PrecisionTec pavilion features materials, components, equipment, and technologies used to design and build the current and next generation of stents, stent grafts, balloon angioplasts, catheters, guiding catheters, guidewires, pacing systems, and more. The colocated MidPak Expo is the regional trade event dedicated to the Upper Midwest's packaging marketplace.

MD&M visitors will see advances in medical-grade materials, components, electronics, computer-aided design and manufacturing, production machinery, packaging, sterilization, quality systems, device communications, networking, and enterprise IT. Attendees have a new option this year as the American Society for Quality (ASQ) introduces Six Sigma-certification prep classes. The programs prepare medicaldevice designers and manufacturers for exams in Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt Certification. ASQ representatives will be on hand in Booth 137 to discuss the programs, which should be of interest to those involved in Six Sigma initiatives.
