10 Million Drives Shipped

Yaskawa Electric, Waukegan, Ill., recently became the first company to ship 10 million variable-frequency drives.

Although it took 19 years for the firm to ship its first million drives, it took only nine more years to reach the 5 million mark, then five more years to hit its current mark and capture 14% of the global market for 0.1 to 300-kW drives.
