K148 calibration units connect to all strain-gage amplifiers with one to eight input channels. |
K148 calibration units from HBM Inc., Marlborough, Mass., simulate full bridges of strain-gage-sensor amplifiers with up to eight input channels. A PC attached to a USB port or RS-232 interface controls the unit and captures data. Pushbutton controls ease manual operation while a lightweight housing fits in confined spaces and can be stacked on top of the company's K800 calibration unit for strain-gage quarter-bridge amplifiers.
K148s have five calibration ranges, each of which comprises 10 steps for calibrating both dc and carrier-frequency amplifiers from 225 Hz up to 4.8 kHz from ±0.2 to ±100 mV/V. The calibration units are highly accurate and linear to 0.0025%, which reduces to 0.01% for dc and carrier frequencies of 600 Hz and higher. K148s come with an optional calibration certificate traceable to national standards. HBM's laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for the measured quantities force, torque, pressure, and voltage ratio millivolt/volt.
