March 17 -18 — The Conference & Education Dept. of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is offering a Wind & Transmission Workshop at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel in Kansas.

CONFERENCESOFC/NFOEC 2009March 22-26 — OFC/NFOEC is the industry’s most-comprehensive conference for optical communications. The technical conference will be March 22-26; the exposition is March 24-26. Both will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in California.

Robot Safety
March 23-25 — The Spring 2009 Robot Safety Conference will take place at the Knoxville Marriott in Tennessee. There will be three days of preconference workshops, conference sessions, tabletop exhibits of products and vendors, and postconference workshops.

ADM2009
Sept. 24-26 — The 2nd International Conference on Advanced Design and Manufacture will take place in Harbin, China. The conference is hosted by the Harbin Engineering University and organized by Nottingham Trent University, U.K.; Harbin Engineering University, China; and Harbin Institute of Technology, China.

ADM2009 conference topics in the design and manufacturing engineering area include product/industrial/ engineering design, Web/ Internet technologies, CAD/ CAM/CAE, engineering/product management, concurrent engineering, soft computing, sustainable technology, and engineering education.

Authors are invited to e-mail abstracts of 300 words to adm@ntu. ac.uk. Abstract deadline is March 10.
