TurboCAD Pro v19 and Pro Platinum v19 3D CAD software boast enhancements such as better design engines, including updated ACIS v22, LightWorks v8.3 and Redsdk v3 Rendering. New surface-mesh 3D modeling tools let users easily create organic shapes. In addition, a page-layout wizard allows the rapid creation of 2D layouts from existing 3D models. And a new material editor lets users locate, select, apply, and edit materials, luminance, and more.

Free JT viewer works on desktop and iPhone
A free 3D JT viewer called Glovius runs on Windows and as an app for iPad or iPhone and Android devices. The software lets users import CAD files from several platforms, such as Catia, V5, NX, Pro/E, Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, STEP, and IGES. The developer is working on out-of-the box add-ons for implementing industry standards, including markup and collaboration.
