New Products: Floating-Nut Fastener

Oct. 23, 2008
Riv-Float is a patent-pending rivet nut with internally floating threads.

The nut has 0.020 in. of radial float. It pivots to align with the screw angle, eliminating cross threading and spin out. The product lets installers attach components in off-center applications and compensate for tolerance stack up in the manufacturing process. Riv-Float can replace cage nuts, clinch nuts, floating nut plates, or weld nuts.
