UPDATE: igus’ “iglide on tour” rolls into North America

Aug. 11, 2014
igus has retrofitted its specially built orange iglide car with 56 plastic bearings on board to celebrate the line’s 30-year anniversary.
The igus iglide on tour car has hit the shores of North America. After traveling through Asia and South America for the last six months, covering 17,500 miles, the car begins the next leg of its tour in Anchorage, Alaska. From there it will travel through Canada’s Yukon Territory, down through Vancouver, B.C., then across the border into Washington State. The car will zigzag across the two countries until October. The car will then be flown across the Atlantic to start its European leg of the tour. The car heads home to Germany in 2015.
