Cisco is making an appearance at IMTS 2016, courtesy of the MEMEX booth (E-3368). MERLIN, MEMEX's Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) communication platform, is part of Cisco’s Connected Machine Strategy as a front-end machine monitoring dashboard application. Along with IIoT specialists from MEMEX, CISCO representatives will be on hand to discuss the latter firm’s digital solution portfolio.

At IMTS, MERLIN will be securely capturing and reporting real-time data from machines, both on-site and remotely connected, using Cisco's newly released IE4K switch. The IE4K is compliant with MTConnect, the open-source and royalty-free interconnectivity communication standard, collectively forming an integral part of any manufacturing company's IIoT strategy.
