The two-seat TSO GT coupe, delivering 400 hp in a sports car that weighs about 2,400 lb (1,100 kg), recently made its world debut at a motor race in Adelaide, South Australia.

Marcos Engineering's 400-hp TSO GT hits 60 mph in just over 4 sec.


Built by Marcos Engineering Ltd., Westbury, Wiltshire, U.K., the GT accelerates to 60 mph in just over 4 sec, and to 100 mph in just over 9 sec. It jumps from 50 to 70 mph in just over 2 sec, with an estimated top speed exceeding 185 mph. A 5.7-liter V8, the same engine used in Corvette and Holden race cars worldwide, powers the TSO GT. The aluminumalloy engine is reliable, lightweight, and compact, according to the car's manufacturer. Marcos race cars have won numerous races over the last decade, including the British GT Series Championship.
