    The Class 5 SmartMotor is a highly programmable servomotor that is integrated with a motor, an encoder, an amplifier, a controller, RS-232/RS-485 communication, and IOs. The motor features the company’s Combitronic technology, which allows any SmartMotor to read from, write to, and control any other SmartMotor. One program can be written in one motor to control all, or each motor can have its own program, sharing resources with each other, for one giant multitasking, multiprocessing system. The motors feature speeds up to 115.2 kBaud in both the RS-232 and RS-485 ports.
