The Student Edition of Solid Edge 3D CAD software is a no-charge, 12-month license for all full or part-time students anywhere in the world at any academic level. It comes as an easy, instant download. The license can be renewed each year provided the user remains a qualified student. In addition to the developer’s “synchronous technology,” which combines direct modeling with dimension-driven design, users can access Solid Edge modules including those for drafting, sheet metal, surfacing, and advanced assembly design. Users are provided links to tutorials and other online media and have access to a dedicated Internet forum for collaboration with other students using Solid Edge.
