The new stand-alone IMS-LM-SA Series of long-travel linear-motor stages do not require ultraflat mounting surfaces

The new stand-alone IMS-LM-SA Series of long-travel linear-motor stages do not require ultraflat mounting surfaces. These self-supporting stages come in 800, 1,000, and 1,200-mm travel, and are suited for high-precision, light-to-medium industrial applications that carry up to 10-kg loads.

Features include industrial-grade direct-drive linear motors, direct-read linear encoders, recirculating ball bearings, and a stiff, FEA-optimized aluminum base. The stages use four-point mounting for stability.
