Uni-form epoxy preforms are one-part epoxy resins, made in various shapes and sizes, that are solid at room temperature. When heated, they melt and cure, forming a consistent seal. The preforms are now available in M5-92, an epoxy that resists most industrial solvents and other aggressive chemicals. When fully cured, it withstands submersion in MEK, xylene, acetone, toulene, and other solvents. M5-92 also has a glass-transition temperature of 320°F, letting it withstand high-temperature manufacturing processes such as overmolding and soldering.
