A six-component check-valve assembly, critical to tractors and off-road vehicles, has an improved design and simplified assembly process. The valve allows pressurization of the transmission to between 1 and 2 psi for accurate oil evacuation from transmission chambers for shifting gears.

Polyphenylene sulfide was chosen as the most suitable material for the valve body. Rounding out the assembly are a nitrile (NBR) groundrubber check ball, an NBR O-ring, a coil spring, and a PTFE stamped washer. The ball and spring are assembled into the body and the retaining spring welded in place. An outer O-ring and PTFE washer are then put on the valve body.
