The Model PMB-06 permanentmagnet brake joins the PMB line that features six models ranging in torque from 0.3 to 22 lb-ft. The brake has a smaller diameter yet achieves almost twice the torque of the Size 07 Model by adding only 1†/16ˆ‰th of an inch of overall length. The brake features an armature/hub and 24-V coil, as well as zero backlash. Another advantage of these permanent-magnet brakes over other holding brakes is that permanent magnets can apply a controlled stop, if needed.
