Inverted blowers

Sept. 12, 2013
Trimline inverted blowers provide concentrated high-volume airflow for critical cooling applications in computers, avionics, and communications.
Trimline inverted blowers provide concentrated high-volume airflow for critical cooling applications in computers, avionics, and communications. Blower motors sit inside the squirrel cage wheel. In higher-impedance systems, inverted blowers deliver twice the airflow of same-size axial fans, with less noise. The blowers require less clear space in front and back to permit mounting close to other components.   With a form factor of 4.75 × 4.75 × 1.60 in., the blowers fit into slim chassis enclosures. For tighter applications, half-Trimline blowers measuring 3.9 × 4.75 × 1.60 in. are available. Speeds range from 2,700 to 6,300 rpm and airflows from 21 to 45 cfm.Ametek Rotron, 55 Hasbrouck Lane, Woodstock, NY 12498, (845) 679-2401, www.rotron.com
