Cordless Hydraulic Pump Provides Portable Power

March 20, 2015

The XC-Series cordless pump from Enerpac (www.enerpac.com), Menomonee Falls, Wisc., uses a one-half horsepower motor powered by a 28-V lithium-ion battery pack to get the performance an electric or pneumatic powered pump with the convenience of a hand pump. It is well-suited to remote locations or cluttered areas where another cord or hose would present a tripping hazard.

The pump has two flow settings. At the low-pressure setting, the pump delivers 125 in3 of oil; flow per minute. At high pressures (up to 10,000 psi), it delivers 15 inches3 per minute.

The pump has a reinforced fiberglass housing for durability and safety. The battery pack contains no cadmium, so it is environmentally friendly. The pump is also CSA and CE compliant.  The housing’s built-in handle and attachments for shoulder strap (included) make the lightweight pump easy to move from site to site. It also has a bladder reservoir that prevents contamination and ensures leak-free operation in any position.

The pump’s overload protection circuitry safeguards the pump and operator from excessive amp draw or temperatures. And a trigger lock-off mechanism prevents unintended operation during transport.
