With sliding ceramic plates (instead of rubber seals) that form a tight seal, Ceram ISO 5599-1 pneumatic directional-control valves are tolerant of dirty air and harsh conditions. Near-diamond hard plates wipe themselves clean of ingested dirt that damages conventional valves. The Ceram has a life expectancy of 150 million cycles and won’t stick like many spool valves.
