Available in three different configurations, each float is made from EPDM for long service life and resistance to heat, oxidation, ozone, and aging due to weather. EPDM offers good electrical resistivity and resistance to solvents such as water, acids, alkalies, phosphate esters, and many ketones and alcohols.

The switches contain an 8-A (250-Vac) microswitch on an antivibration mount. The SPDT switch element can be used for either “open” or “closed” contact configurations and measures both increasing and decreasing fluid levels. The resulting signal can be used to start or stop a pump, open or close a valve, or actuate indicator alarms.
