MasterSil 153 is an addition-cured system that requires no air for complete cross-linking. It can be cured over wide surface areas as well. The easy-handling, two-component silicone features a one-to-one mix ratio by weight and its paste consistency allows for precise application. The silicone has a low exotherm and long working life of 5 to 7 hr at room temperature. It is a self-priming system, which enhances its bonding abilities to a wide variety of similar and dissimilar substrates, including most metals, plastics, glass, ceramic and cured silicone rubber. The translucent silicone is serviceable over a temperature range of –65 to over 400°F.

MasterSil 153’s flexibility lets it withstand severe thermal cycling as well as vibration and mechanical shock. Its softer durometer of 20 to 35 Shore A hardness improves its repairability.

Additional properties and features include excellent electrical insulation capabilities, water resistance, and low shrinkage upon cure.

When stored in its original containers, MasterSil 153 has a shelf life of 6 months. It comes in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon, and 5-gallon container kits.
