The TP1 Series of magnetostrictive position sensors provide noncontact, absolute linear position. The sensors meet all specifications without time-consuming setpoint adjustments (null and span). The sensors are plug-in compatible with similar sensors and come in measurement ranges of 50 to 4,500 mm. Specifications include a 62-μsec update rate, absolute linearity to within ± 0.02 % of F.S, 16-bit resolution, and an operation temperature range of –40 to 85°C.

Output versions of the TP1 include analog, start/stop, SSI, quadrature, and high-flexibility 48-bit DyMoS, which provides true velocity.

Analog outputs include 0 to 10 V, 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, and –10 to 10 V as both minimum to maximum and vice versa. The analog-output version features programmable start and end-stop points. Quadrature digital output features an initialization phase upon power-up that eliminates the need for a reference drive.
