Universal joints, including needle roller U-joints with sealed bearings, meet DIN 808-W and have little backlash.

Single and double types come in 9SMn Pb36k steel. Outside diameters range from 20 to 95 mm. While lengths vary from 88 to 290 m. Options include smaller bores, keyways, square and hexagon bores, shorter lengths, and quick-release types. Hardened-steel pin types meet DIN 808-G and need lubrication. The manufacturer recommends PVC rubber covers filled with grease or highspeed, angle-forced oil lubrication for adverse conditions. Steel joints meet DIN 808-G & W. A hand-operated telescopic joint comes with unhardened pins.
