Self-contained actuators, recently introduced by Bosch Rexroth, allow decentralized infrastructures with electric control. They offer a smaller footprint, reduced oil volume and can be deployed with no hydraulics expertise.

Due to their encapsulated hydraulic transmission, self-contained actuators offer a simple, robust and reliable alternative to electromechanical solutions. These self-contained electro-hydrostatic actuators can replace conventional hydraulic systems with self-contained electrical linear direct drivesthere's no need for separate hydraulic components and hoses. This simplifies system architectures while maintaining safety and reliability.
