Precision Speed Control (PSC) shock absorbers from Enidine Inc., Orchard Park, N.Y., work for specialized industrial machinery applications requiring controlled movements. New models handle up to 1,200 lb of propelling force, to 725,000 lb-in. of energy/hr, and impact velocity of up to 20 ips. Stroke lengths to 2.36 in. are available. A fully threaded body eases installation without additional mounting brackets. The units also feature a new piston-head seal that decreases breakaway friction and increases service life. Additional features include an anti-rotational device and a drill check accessory.
