Hot-metal glue gun

Oct. 25, 2007
The full-hand lever trigger of the TEC 810 hotmelt stick gun controls flow better.

The ergonomically designed gun is ready to use — it heats up to 380°F in 3 min. The unit has an illuminated on/off switch and easy-to-change thermostat that adjusts the temperature for dispensing hot and lowmelt adhesives. A setscrew in the gun’s back lets users regulate the amount and rate of adhesive flow. The gun’s narrow-profile handle with a soft-feel grip and adjustable trigger stroke accommodates any hand size. Two models are available: The 810-12 is a 250-W gun that uses 1/2-in. glue sticks and the 810-15 is a 300-W gun that uses 5/8-in. glue sticks. Both models melt up to 4.4 lb of glue/hr. A detachable stand with a nozzle spanner makes it possible to change the nozzle without additional tools.
