Hinge simplifies installation

A new zinc-cast hinge installs to the door and frame in seconds, according to the company.

A new zinc-cast hinge from Emka Inc., Middletown, Pa. (www.emka.com), installs to the door and frame in seconds, according to the company. And installation requires no nuts, screws, or washers, only simple pins that come with the hinge. The same hinge works on left and right-hand doors, which should reduce inventory. The hinges are strong and don't use cantilevered pins, so fewer hinges are needed to support the same door. The hinges let doors swing 180°, let doors be removed when open 90°, and fully secure doors when closed.
