Logic relay for simple automation systems

Some control applications are too small or simple to use even the smallest PLC, but still need more flexibility than a simple relay.

That's why engineers at Schneider Electric, Palatine, Ill. (www.us.schneider-electric.com), designed the Telemecanique Zelio logic relay. Its small size and easy programming make it an alternative to traditional relays timers and counters. It can accept and control outputs, and logic is set by programming from the front of the module or by using ZelioSoft software. It also features dual language capabilities, and uses function-block diagram or ladder-logic programming. Relays can have four or eight outputs and will accept a wide range of input voltages, including 120 or 240 Vac and 42 Vdc.
